As I stand in the hallway, I look towards the living room and I notice two shadowy figures sitting on the couch. I recognize the taller figure. It is my old companion Doubt. The second figure would be unrecognizable were it not for his t-shirt that is embossed with his name, Disappointment. I guess that Doubt has returned and brought a friend. Doubt speaks to me and says, “This is quite a party that you are throwing, in fact, Discouragement and Loneliness are on the way over too.”

I respond, “Not tonight, please, I have had my fill of your company throughout the day.”

Doubt replies, “Well if you insist, but I have a feeling that we will be reconvening tomorrow.” And with that they depart. It has been quite the day.
